On 11 April, in the context of the event organized by COMECE and Don Bosco International, the JESC team represented by Eleonora Vitale and Jaka Krajnc had the opportunity to present the European leadership programme as one of the current actions implemented to respond to the appeal of Pope Francis.

COMECE President Archbishop Jean-Claude Hollerich kicked off the discussion with representatives of youth organisations, the EU institutions and the Church the outcomes of the Synod, its implementation and the next steps towards a more participatory and inclusive Europe.

Common good, Excellence, Community, to serve the poor were the key points mentioned. The program was well received by the public present and the interaction of different stakeholders and the exchange of best practices has made the event full of enthusiasm and prospects for future collaboration.

To sum up, among the different programs and perspectives, one thing is clear to all: The need for active youth who express leaders suitable to ‘navigate the challenge’.
