In loving memory

Is with great sadness that we share the news of the death of Fr. Josep Messa Buxareu SJ in Sant Cugat del Vallès, Spain, on November 22, at the age of 95. Fr. Josep Messa Buxareu SJ worked in the “The Catholic Information and Initiative Office for Europe (OCIPE)” between 2002 and 2004.

He dedicated 60 years to priesthood and 70 years to the Society of Jesus, always working at the service of people. As part of the OCIPE team, he seeked to connect Christian organizations with European institutions, promoting a reflection on the political, social and economic issues of the European integration process, in particular the defense of minorities.

JESC will keep Josep Messa Buxareu SJ in grateful memory as an exceptional Jesuit and we ask you to keep him in mind in your prayers.
