Introduction
JESC is part of Jesuits for Climate Justice, a worldwide initiative uniting Jesuit institutions and partners in advocacy for a just and sustainable future. Together with EcoJesuit and our global network, we are working in the lead-up to COP30, the UN climate summit taking place this November in Belém, Brazil. COP30 will be a decisive moment for international leaders to move from words to action. The climate crisis is not only an environmental challenge, it is a crucial matter of justice, especially for vulnerable communities and for future generations.

Jesuits for Climate Justice at SB62 Bonn Climate Meetings (June 2025)
In preparation for COP30, JESC and other representatives from Jesuits for Climate Justice were at the UNFCCC June meetings in Bonn, Germany. During these two weeks, a side event was organised which highlighted the importance of migration and climate change. The Jesuits for Climate Justice delegation published a daily blog which can be viewed here.
Accompanying the SB62 Bonn negotiations
SB62 (Subsidiary Meeting n.62) refers to the upcoming United Nations climate change meetings in Bonn, Germany, taking place from June 16 to 26, 2025.
